What Lumcast does

Most podcast apps answer a simple question: what’s available right now? They give you a catalogue of what other people decided to make, on schedules set by someone else, on topics that may or may not overlap with what you’re curious about today.

Lumcast inverts the model. You decide the topic. You set the tone, the style, the length. The app writes the script, voices it, and hands you a fully produced podcast — chapters, transcript, and all — in a matter of minutes.

It’s not a text-to-speech reader. It doesn’t recite Wikipedia articles. The script is generated from scratch, structured like an actual episode, with an introduction, developed sections, and a closing — built around what you asked for.

The details that matter

You control the length (from a quick 5-minute overview to a 30-minute exploration), the language, and the voice quality. The same topic sounds different at different lengths — Lumcast adjusts the depth and pacing accordingly.

It’s structured, not a wall of audio. Every episode is divided into chapters. You can jump between them directly from the player, or from CarPlay while driving. The transcript is always there, searchable, readable in full.

The voice is taken seriously. Lumcast supports three quality tiers — standard, neural, and generative — with different voices across Italian, English, German, French, and Spanish. Generative synthesis, currently available for English, produces the most natural-sounding result.

CarPlay is a first-class citizen. The app is fully integrated with CarPlay. Your generated library, playback controls, and chapter navigation are all accessible from the car display without touching your phone.

Your library travels with you. Generated episodes are saved to your library and available offline after download. A long flight is no obstacle to a deep dive.

Privacy, by design

Lumcast doesn’t build a profile of you. Your topics aren’t sold to advertisers, cross-referenced with your location, or used to train anything. Audio files live in your own cloud storage, tied to your account. The only data used to generate your episode is what you type into the form.
